A toddler from the age of one starts to walk and run. At the age of two to improve his / hers balance a balance bike is needed. But they out grow it fast and it doesn’t last for more than a year. The goal was to make this journey a little longer, gradual and safe learning with some personal connection between the child and the bike.

Form Exploration_Ergonomics

Form exploration by keeping ergonomics of 3 to 5 year old in consideration. The forms are inspired from the child’s liking to be free without boundaries and to be adventurous.

Functional Model_Actual Scale

Working hand on to make a 1:1 functional balance bike to test it with the user. Used different techniques and machineries to create the balance bike. A lot of different scale models were tried and tested before to understand the safety and manufacturing feasibility.
